Happy New Year! Have you accomplished all your writing goals this year? In this post, I'll review my writing journey, past goals, and set new ones for the upcoming year.

Writing Journey

This year, I achieved so much in my writing journey. When I wrote the “Infamous Story of Retro Brite,” I had no idea it would see publication. I was hesitant at first because it was my debut novel and, of course, it wasn't perfect. Despite having worked on it for years, I never took it seriously. But through this journey, I've come to realize the importance of letting go of perfectionism. My aim is to be prolific in my creative endeavors, crafting work that's intriguing and a true reflection of my creativity. Additionally, I ventured into writing a children’s book, something I never imagined doing. It was a delightful experience, especially given that the themes in my young adult novel are rather dark. Creating something light and colorful was refreshing.

New Goals

Looking forward to 2023, I accomplished many unforeseen goals. In 2024, I'm planning to write my first short story alongside another children’s book. Moreover, I aim to reflect on my novel and enhance my writing skills. Also, I'm determined to develop a habit of reading more frequently. My goal is to read at least four books, although this might be challenging since I'm a slow reader. Juggling work also makes finding time to sit down and read quite difficult. Nevertheless, I'm committed to finding ways to read more.

I'm excited to share updates on my new goals, and I wish you all a fantastic New Year!
